- Summary:
- For vehicles, it is necessary to reduce the weight from the view point of environmental problems in recent years. One of the methods for weight reduction is the adhesive structure; therefore, the estimation method of the strength of adhesive joints is studied here. This study investigates the influence of thickness of adhesive layer on fatigue strength of adhesive joint by conducting tensile-shear and peeling tests. Subsequently, it may be concluded that there exists a possibility of using stress intensity factor to evaluate fatigue strength
