The following quality determinants are described : The chronology of the manufacturing cycle is described from component acquisition through the final steps of the production process. The overall process is a tailored approach to quality which fits the culture of the enterprise, and conforms in many ways with the principals of "Autonomation".It is the author's wish that some of the specific approaches to fastening quality outlined in this paper can be constructively applied to problems being faced by members of the audience
