- Summary:
- Aluminum-ceramic coatings are well known in aircraft industry as corrosion protective coatings. Especially compressor parts of low alloyed steels or stainless steels-which are in use up to 600°C-are protected by these kind of coatings. All the available coatings have a lot of chromic acid, causing health problems during application which is done by normal spraying technique.A new aluminum ceramic coating with low Cr6+ content has been developed. Properties are presented also in comparison to established systems. The corrosion protection is comparable or better, erosion resistance even superior
