With some qualitative analytical methods based only on common and simple desk equipment, and with oridinary solvents, it is perfectly possible to lead up to the recognition of resins identification.The Paper proposing this practice is composed basicly by a chart bringing together the necessary data in order to permit the perform of the identification of the more important and more common resins. Otherwise, knowing the methods on wich the work is based and that are discussed farther, one can get experimentally, or through tables, the necessary data to permit the investigation of any particular resin. As a complementary resort of the chart and of the analytical process it is included a classification of polymeric materials according to mechanical properties under temperature effect
