Summary:
Aerodynamics is the study of the effects of air when in motion. Thevehicle aerodynamics have become crucial since have realized itsimportance. This study has been focused on optimizing theaerodynamics with means of adding external aerodynamiccomponent. A custom built multi-axle commercial vehicle (CV)model is subjected to aerodynamic modification and optimized. Thecomponents are modified to their optimum size, angle and shape toachieve the best to reduce the drag coefficient, and enhance betterperformance. The physical appearance of the custom built multi-axlecommercial vehicle model has been given keen significance whiledesigning the external devices. All the analysis and modificationshave been tried out computationally in the CFD software "ANSYSFluent" and the CAD modeling in "Creo Parametric"
