Summary:
The article is devoted to the development of a method for predicting changes in regulatory requirements for the braking efficiency of vehicles. On the basis of the analysis of the requirements for the vehicle's braking efficiency, at different times imposed on the average steady deceleration, the dependence of the standard meaning of this value on time has been established. The values of the coefficients, which depend on the vehicle category, have been determined when carrying out various types of tests. It was found that the meaning of the minimum permissible average steady deceleration, depending on time, changes according to an exponential dependence, the parameters of which are determined by the vehicle category and the type of tests. On the example of a vehicle of category M1, the calculation was performed, and the results of the forecast of changes in the regulatory requirements for the braking efficiency of the vehicle were presented. To ensure the optimal forecast accuracy of the requirements for the braking properties of the vehicle, braking control was considered as a part of the driver-vehicle-road environment (DVRE) system, and the last one was considered as a subsystem of the adaptive system for the formation of vehicle braking properties. On the basis of forecasting, the relevant standards based on the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Inland Transport Committee (UNECE ITC) Regulations should be improved. As a result of a retrospective analysis of the requirements for vehicle braking efficiency, it was determined that the value of the minimum permissible average steady deceleration, depending on time, changes according to an exponential dependence, the parameters of which are determined by the vehicle category and the type of tests. On the basis of the proposed method, analytical dependencies were obtained that allow predicting the requirements for the vehicle braking efficiency for the period of interest to determine the standards and make changes to the existing standards.A method has been designed for predicting the development of requirements for the braking efficiency of the vehicle at the design stage, for selecting the braking control parameters, taking into account its functional stability
