Summary:
In this paper, a method of RMS phase-to-phase voltage estimation in 3-phase inverter controlled using SVPWM based FOC algorithm has been proposed. The method presented in this paper involves sensing each phase voltage signal and conditioning this signal using a mathematical algorithm. The algorithm estimates phase-to-phase RMS voltage in MTPA and flux-weakening mode separately. The non-linearities observed in the practical system have been considered and the overall method has been simulated using MATLAB Simulink. Accuracies and deviations have been estimated considering tolerances in hardware. The proposed method has been verified practically on a battery-operated motorinverter system and the results compared with true RMS measurements
