Summary:
With the improvement of standard of living, air-conditioning haswidely been applied in buses. However, in air conditioning busesair distribution is still needs to be improved, One of the mainreasons for this sub-quality comfort is two air flow louversarrangement for 3x2 layout air conditioner buses. Air conditioningbuses hatrack louvers are on integral part in providing comfort topassengers. General trend of the numbers of louvers provided topassengers is two louvers for three seats. Disadvantage of havingconventional two louvers is that, there is always one passengerleft with no option of directing air towards that person. This leadto an opportunity to design three louvers type hatrack instated ofconventional two louvers hatrack, for 3x2 seating layout of buses. This way all three passengers can control the louvers for their owncomfort and mass of air flow is sufficient for third passenger aswell. This new design air distribution had been tested through CFDand air flow through all louvers is meeting minimum average 4.5m\sair velocity through hatrack. Physical trails and testing incustomer vehicles are planned. This new hatrack can cater air flowrequirement of all seating layouts id est 3x2, 2x2 and 2x1
