Summary:
Aiming at better preservation of the environment and quality of life for humanity, the world is led to consider increasingly sustainable solutions for its businesses. Hydrogen is strongly considered one of them, if not the most prosperous. As it can be obtained from renewable energy sources, this energy vector, when used as fuel, does not emit any type of pollutant that is harmful to life and the environment. One of its most studied applications, aiming at greater efficiency and decarbonization of the planet, refers to the transport sector, where hydrogen is converted into energy, water and heat through fuel cells present in vehicles. This ancient technology, however, increasingly studied and considered in current times, has been moving towards in the future it can take, even if gradually, a large mass of vehicles in circulation in the world. Improved over the years, the "hydrogen economy" is already applied in several places, and is sufficiently mature for implementation, bringing with it several benefits and the concept of a circular economy. The purpose of this article is to present studies, interviews and documents published on the subject, and from them, analyze the feasibility of using hydrogen in the various possible sectors, concluding with the various economic and environmental gains
