Summary:
Re-crystallized silicon carbide diesel particulate filters (Re-SiC DPF), effectively control the particulate matter (PM) emissions from diesel engines, have been widely applied in the diesel vehicle market to meet more and more stringent emissions regulations. The manufacturing process of Re-SiC DPF is characterized by high energy consumption, which can be reduced by optimizing the assembly design and by downsizing the DPF volume; the accommodation for catalyst coating inside the DPF can be enhanced by optimizing the pore diameter and porosity, and the effective cement design can improve its aging performance and reduce the DPF pressure drop
