- Summary:
- Vibration has many undesirable and harmful effects on life andperformance of mechanical equipment and other structures. Theeffects of vibration are due to dynamic interaction betweenvehicles and road, vibration transmitted from machinery to itssupporting structures thereby interfering with their performance ,damage as well as malfunction and failure due to dynamic loading, fatigue failure, oscillation of transmission lines. In thispaper, numerical and experimental modal and dynamic analysis arediscussed to derive the modal properties (mode shapes and modalfrequencies) and dynamic properties (strains, stresses anddeflections) of condenser assembly. A Finite Element Method is usedto determine the natural frequency and structural integrity of theAC Condenser Assembly, whereas the experimentation's areperformed using strain gauge measurement test for verification andvibration endurance test for validation. In FEM, condenser assemblyis analyzed under resonance condition and improved the design athigh stress area's. The main objective of this work is tostrengthen the Condenser's connector sub-assembly under dynamicload and verify the same before and after using strain gaugemeasurement method. After verification, validate the same withproto sample under same load conditions. After verification andvalidation, correlation between numerical and experimentalresults is made and establishes the proficiency for all othercomponents to mitigate the proto cost and warranty failureissues
