- Summary:
- The public relations aspects or customer acceptance of ground support equipment has become of significance in the total aircraft system. There are two readily discernable segments to the public relations aspects of ground support equipment: initial or program costs, and functional suitability. These closely interrelated segments can be broken down into more specific factors covering technical and nontechnical requirements and managerial control.Attempts to quantify or reduce the factors to a rank order for importance have been unsuccessful to date since the impact of each on good relations is heavily dependent on specific situations. Fourteen factors are identified and discussions are presented, including examples of how they have impacted on public relations
