- AbstractThe factors influencing the selection of a preferred space station system concept are briefly described; and the critical considerations that influence the selection of orbit parameters, crew parameters, and logistic support requirements are discussed. It is concluded that a high level of effectiveness can be achieved but will require careful design of each element of the system and maximum use of human performance capabilities to achieve the necessarily high reliability goals
