- Summary:
- AbstractThis paper reviews those requirements that are common in the design of all gas turbines combustion equipment. Where necessary, a distinction is made between the demands of industrial and aircraft chambers. The problem of designing equipment for long life and low pressure loss, in a size compatible with the overall engine, is discussed in detail, and the application of combustor characteristics and design factors to the demands of new aircraft and industrial turbines are anticipated
