Summary:
The basic objective of the SST is to carry a maximum amount of payload at supersonic speeds at least 4000 miles at minimum cost. The author discusses various inefficiencies that occur in utilization of space within the airframe which may hinder this objective.Cabin interior arrangement must be realistic and practical. Points to be considered in achieving these goals are presented. Greater emphasis must be placed on the interior arrangement of the SST if the full payload-range-economic capability is to be achieved
