Its high hardness, abrasion resistance, low heat conductivity, and inert nature make it particularly well suited to some chip forming applications.Compared to carbide, since cemented oxide is low in strength, shear, and tension, certain design and application considerations are mandatory if this type of material is to be used successfully.
