Summary:
Precision measurement with numerical controls uses two basic types of equipment, manual and automatic. Manual equipment requires an operator to effect slide motion. Automatic equipment uses simplified prepunched tape to actuate slide commands to position sensor stylus. Both systems are effective in minimizing human error and increasing productivity
