- Summary:
- The design history and description of a new starter system for two 2-cycle lawn mower engines are given. Instead of a choke, a primer is used with the injection placed into the carburetor downstream from the venturi. Analysis of energy consuming devises showed that a hand moving through a large distance by the arm, shoulder, and torso is least fatiguing, therefore a cord operated rewing starter with horizontal axis was chosen. The arrangement greatly reduces friction
