- Summary:
- The concept of four-pole parameters in dynamic analysis can be applied to high-order structural elements such as beams. In the case of beam bending and shear in a single plane, an eight-pole parameter description is indicated. General properties of eight-poles are reviewed and some examples of their application to beam systems are presented. The approach takes advantage of impedance concepts which are shown to be pertinent and most helpful
