Summary:
A method is presented for the dynamic analysis of a structure by a synthesis of the properties of its elements. The method is very useful to analyze complex structures when it is difficult to select approximate mode functions for the complete system. In the method presented, mode functions are selected for the elements -a relatively easy task. The method is applied to the dynamic analysis of a rocket model. It is shown that very good approximations to the modes and frequencies of the system are obtained by using a small number of element modes
