- Summary:
- AbstractThis paper describes wind tunnel tests of air inlets for jet lift engines. The results indicate that flow separation and high pressure losses at the engine entry occur during combined low engine power and high forward speed. A scoop inlet was tested that performed efficiently over the entire range of test conditions. The test results were used in establishing an empirical method for predicting scoop inlet performance
