- AbstractAs the turbine engine approaches a reality in the automotive industry, it is imperative that the industry acquaint itself with the unusual machining characteristics of the alloys that will be required. These alloys include both high strength and heat resistance metals which are very difficult to machine, particularly if high production is required.This paper discusses the machining characteristics of several alloys in these two groups. In addition, several machining recommendations are presented
