Summary:
Many improvements have been made in recent years with regard to the application of ceramic metallic type friction material on clutches in tractors and farm equipment. The changes which have been effected on Cerametalix, a product of the Bendix Corporation, are described. It is shown that the latest version of Cerametalix works in spring loaded clutches as well as in the overcenter types, and delivers outstanding performance in moderate-to-heavy duty service. Today's material has the benefit of 10 years of testing and experience concentrated in the clutch field, resulting in improved compounds, shapes, cushioning, and basic button design
