- Summary:
- The rapid growth of commercial air transportation has forced many of the nation's major airports into early obsolescence. In most cases, this could have been prevented if planners had provided sufficient flexibility for expansion to meet changing demands and to accommodate increasing volumes of passenger and cargo movements. Two super airport concepts which provide this flexibility - the satellite and the unit terminal - are discussed in this paper
