This study examines the problems facing conventional electrohydraulic systems used in guidance and control for the various missile applications. The paper offers some short term solutions of current problems, discusses improvements proposed or applied to present systems, and concludes that hot gas actuators may be the long term solution because of their potential benefits in storability, price, ruggedness, reliability, and environment insensitivity
