Summary:
Snow removal equipment in use today and proper lubricants and recommended lubrication periods for proper maintenance are discussed. The equipment includes large and medium size blade and rotary plows, and specialized units for removing snow from highways, country roads, city streets and parking areas, airport runways and railroad tracks. Smaller equipment used by homeowners for clearing driveways and walks is also discussed.Lubrication is the most important single element of a good maintenance program. Lubricants of proper viscosity and consistency and a frequent relubrication program are necessary to combat corrosive materials and to prevent wear, rust, and corrosion
