Summary:
Technical reports are important tools in industrial decision making. There is no major industry today that can get along without clear, accurate technical reports. And these reports must come from engineers, scientists, or technicians because management personnel do not have the technical knowledge needed to prepare a report. Management decides--technical personnel provide the facts for the decision. If a company or industry is to prosper it needs good technical reports to guide management in the decision-making process. Since reports originate with engineers and scientists, betterment must start at this level. This paper shows engineers and scientists how to prepare better reports--reports aimed at making decisions by management more accurate, timely, and effective
