Summary:
SUMMARYThis paper presents a discussion of some of the stability and control problems of the aerial jeep based on experimental and analytical research by the NASA. The work has indicated that the aerial jeep is feasible from a stability and control standpoint in that it can be made to fly satisfactorily in both hovering and forward flight but that a certain degree of artificial stabilization may be required. A great deal of research and development on a number of detailed problems is required, however, before this desirable end can be achieved in practice
