- Summary:
- VAPOR to liquid ratios (V/L) at "vapor lock" have been determined from observations within an automotive fuel pump installed on a bench setup and also on a vehicle. Excellent agreement between the vehicle and bench setup results was obtained. The V/L was determined from diaphragm-movement data obtained by, suitable instrumentation installed in the fuel pump. The diaphragm-movement data were also related to pump cavity pressure fluctuation in an effort to understand basic pump behavior
