- Summary:
- In this paper, the performance of a passive grouser-track system is shown - both in the field and in laboratory confirmation trials. The field testing of vehicles, done in conjunction with Bombardier Limited to evaluate performance is described. The passive design features of the grousers used are meant to specifically reduce aggressive surface entry and drag. In field trials, requirements for performance include development of drawbar pull of at least three quarters of the maximum available in standard grouser-track systems in snow covered terrain and general soft soil conditions
