Summary:

Minicomputer application to data acquisition and processing has become available in recent years due to lower costs and component miniaturization. Here we describe how a minicomputer is used in the static testing of construction cranes. In our system, the computer is not only used to process data in a special report format, but is used to control the analog data input and signal conditioning as well. Various factors considered in selection of the instrument system are also presented
