PRESENTED here is a report of the Tractor Fuel Requirements Group, which was set up by CFR to consider the classification of tractor fuels proposed by the SAE Tractor War Emergency Committee in April, 1944.This classification defines light- and regular-grade tractor fuel in terms of distillation characteristics and octane number.On the basis of tests carried out by the Group, CRC found that the proposed distillation characteristics defined usable tractor fuels, but recommended a minimum octane number of 35 for both grades of tractor fuel
