Consideration is given to legal aspects, standardization opportunities, hardware involved, and criteria for final decision making. Comparisons of relative headlight seeing distances have been made, and suggestions for an intermediate or mid-beam configuration are proposed. The three-beam approach appears to offer the greatest immediate potential for head-lighting improvement
