This paper discusses the pultrusion process which although it is a very new industry has expanded to meet present-day demands. Properties of fiberglass reinforced plastic pultruded shapes are discussed along with their advantages, disadvantages, and current uses. It is pointed out that the determination of factors of safety is dependent upon many variables which the designer must carefully analyze. The considerations involved in this determination are given
