- Summary:
- With the impact of noise regulations and the need for controlling costs, the choice of a cooling system needs more careful study. This paper presents an analysis of the optimum radiator size for a given cooling load considering three types of cores. The sum of the first cost and operating cost is analyzed on the basis of return on investment using the method of discounted cash flow.An analysis of a standard line of radiators showing the relationship of total owning and operating cost versus engine cooling load is also presented. Total useful operating life is shown as well as operating hours per year. Curves of noise levels are also shown for this analysis to help provide a decision-making tool in the choice of radiators
