Summary:
9.00-20 P.R12 (nylon cords and longitudinal patterns) bias tire made in China is tested by the designed infrared thermometer system and thermocouple. External surface temperatures of the tire are measured by the infrared thermometer, internal temperature of the tire is obtained by calculation with measured data, and body temperatures of the tire are measured by the thermocouples inserted into holes, which have been drilled into some parts of tire. The influence of operating conditions such as time and speed on tire temperature field distributions is also analyzed. The experimental results lay foundation for reasonably selecting types of tire and determining the limited operations of a tire, and supplying numerical analysis with essential boundary conditions
