- Summary:
- Considering the constantly increasing demand for tighter vehicle systems packaging, higher temperature resistant elastomeric polymers are required to sustain these newer challenging environments. A recently developed microcellular urethane (MCU) material has demonstrated improved durability, dynamic characteristics, and temperature resistance at elevated testing conditions. This paper introduces the design constraints and operating parameters associated with implementing this new material in high temperature engine mounting applications
