Summary:
Among various innovations on Intelligent Transportation Systems ITS, several researches are performing on implementation of Adaptive Fuzzy Controllers in braking systems. The braking procedure consists of two basic consequent steps; the first step is the time interval (delay) which takes to reach an optimum deceleration, and the second is the time of actual braking. Though several efforts have been done to reduce the actual braking distance by increasing the effective contact of tires to the road surface (id est New generation of tiers, Anti-Lock Braking Systems,....), but this paper presents a fuzzy braking control system to enhance the performance of braking system by partial assistance of the driver in the first step of emergency braking, in this way the equipped vehicle starts to brake by a shorter delay
