Summary:

This note presents a comparison between some combustion and chemical oxidation parameters applicable to fuels that could be employed in fuel cells. It also reviews some aspects of these fuels, which combined with the previous parameter analysis suggest that the use of bio mass originated fuels would present advantages, in special for countries like Brasil.In connection with this, the comparison of fuel cells with animal metabolic structures and organs indicates that some biologic architecture and processes could be of interest for fuel cell research and design
