- Summary:
- A permanent presence on Mars through the creation of a Martian settlement requires a design method that is inherently adaptive and allows expansion by default rather then by exception. This paper deals with an architectural design method for a Martian settlement by assessing the location, the settlement organization at multiple levels, and the construction possibilities. A systemic design method is advocated in favor of a traditional mechanistic design method
