Summary:

Mobility industry in the third world countries is fast adopting small displacement 4-S engines for needs of fuel conservation and compliance to emission standards. While improvement in maintenance is lagging, complexity of 4-S engines in comparison to 2-S and continuous growth of vehicle population, fuels the lube oil consumption. Improvement of wear joint design shall enhance the engine reliability.
