Summary:
For complete automotive climate control systems, it is desirable to have breathing air quality control as well as the air conditioning systems for the passenger cabin. For this endeavor, Auto Ventilation Control System (AVCS) has been introduced. AVCS is a system to control the air inlet flap, which is opened and closed automatically depending on quality of the outside air. It will be opened while the air is fresh, and closed otherwise.NTK has developed a sensor measuring the quality of the cabin air, which is an essential component for AVCS.The sensor is comprised of two sensing elements: one is to sense the amount of the reducing gas, and the other is to sense the amount of oxidizing gas in the recharging air from outside into the cabin respectively. With unique dedicated signal processing method, the air quality sensor maintained high accuracy
