The described Automated Testing System provides a reliable solution for validating FNOS vehicle platforms and modules based on CAN. The scope of testing includes Analog and Digital I/O, CAN communications, and physical layer stability. The Test environment is configurable which allows test processes to be created, modified or removed. The defined test processes are adaptable to different CAN networks. The test environment may be completely automated or can allow for user interaction. Test information including active processes, test results, and user input parameters are controlled with Graphical User Interfaces
