The purpose of this paper is to show a variety of applications, machine concepts and close ups of actual heat treating processes. Case depths and hardness requirements vary depending on the end product application. Power requirements usually exceed 100 kW, and the fixtures that position or move the work piece can be quite large and expensive due to the massive part weights
