Summary:
A radical new approach was started to realize physical strength in digital man models. The basic idea is to synthesize individual force exertions by local muscle moments powering relevant body joints. We envelop these articular 3 D-moments by spherical bodies suggesting potatoes. M-Potatoes" are describing the local situation in particular: the variety of diverging maximum moments a single joint may generate in a specified joint posture. A total of 244 M-Potatoes" was sampled at 34 body joints. Indication is further given how to adjust M-Potatoes" to varying target populations and how to integrate M-Potatoes" into digital man models
