Summary:
The realistic simulation of human postures and motion becomes more and more an important tool for the design and development of vehicles and cockpits. Todays professional digital human models are using mainly two different procedures: Either using only posture predicition defined by the setting of joint angles or by only looking at masses and joint moments (as used in crash simulations).A coupling of both procedures leads to a task driven prediction of postures and motion including outer influences like forces, moments and balance
