Summary:
In order to build spacecraft thermal models and to compute temperatures, Alcatel Cannes uses a complete and coherent software chain. This set of software, called Coratherm, has been developed, improved and used for more than 25 years and communicates with the main thermal software. Based on a nodal approach, this set of software allows to treat both radiative and conductive problems by using original numerical and mathematical methods. However, the rapid evolution of the spatial production and evergrowing competition between the different industrial actors makes it necessary to increase reactivity. This paper presents on the one hand the improvement to provide in the thermal model building step and on the other hand the modification performed on the Coratherm architecture in order to make it more out standing and to increase its performance
