- Summary:
- Diesel engines used in racing boats must have as large a useful speed range as possible, which in this case is produced through sequential turbocharging. The second TC is not only used to increase the useful speed range but also to increase the maximum engine power necessary for high boat speed. At the same time, TC 1 must be large enough to ensure enough power for fast "planing" but small enough to ensure high boat acceleration. Unfortunately sometimes it is difficult to insert second turbocharger, this paper is deal with this delicate phase
