Summary:
The integrated panel assembly system is a natural design evolution from the well known C-Frame riveting system as has been used in the aerospace industry for the last five decades. This development is setting a new standard in automatic fuselage panel assembly and is a result of our customers requirements. The criteria were to obtain a substantial increase in the rivet installation rate, an improved and consistent quality, elimination of dedicated holding fixtures, and simultaneously reducing the floor space to a minimum. This paper will describe the system and its application, including photographs showing the equipment
