- Summary:
- A novel battery charger/discharger converter for the series-parallel regulated peak-power-tracking system is proposed. This converter shares the common magnetic component in both the charger mode and the discharge mode to minimize the size and weight of the system. To reduce the number of the additional semiconductor component, a tapped-inductor topology is proposed and design procedures for the converter is presented. The hardware experiments of the proposed converter are presented. The software simulations for the various system mode of operation including the transition modes are performed
